Comments : Special order.

    Author: jaeger
Subject: Special order.
Posted: 04/May/2008 at 19:39

Hi,
I notice there are quite a few items you have for sale that are `special order only`. That you say cant be canceled or returned to you if they are defective or if the customer just doesnt want them. Isnt that a contravention of the `Distance selling regulations ?`. Now, no way am I a `Legal eagle`, so maybe I am reading it wrong. It seems to me though that consumers always legaly have the right to a `cooling off` period, to return defective or unwanted goods to the SELLER, & they also have the right to cancel an order, UNLESS the item is made to the customers specification, or is perishable. So if for example the order is for something that is `repeatable`, such as an `off the shelf` rifle scope, then that doesnt count as `special order`, even though you dont keep it in stock. I believe this only applies to individuals , if the item is ordered from you by another buisness the this regulation doesnt count.

Please dont think I am trying to put a `spanner in the works`. I have been a very satisfied customer of yours from day one. Im just a bit confused !.

Many thanks.

Pistol : Cap Sizes?

My question relates to Percussion Cap sizes. On range day it was freezing and trying to put the caps on the nipples proved extremely difficult, I spent more time chasing the flaming things around the table than shooting. I was using one of the Club guns, a Ruger Old Army .45 and the Caps were designated 4mm. I want to purchase one of the automatic cap loaders but can only find reference to one's fitting No 11 caps. Is there a difference and if so can I purchase one for the 4mm.
Cheers
                                                  Geoff

I really liked the look of it, very well balanced, blowback and 10 round mag slide that fits into the butt, just like a handgun, and that is what it is..An 18inch barreled handgun with monte carlo stock, unusual, modern and different, mainly imported into the uk to be chopped down, back to a pistol to uk legal requirments. I like it as a rifle in it,s own right, perfectly balanced and light, weighing in at 4lbs plus..some say the accurracy is not brilliant for a Browning but the only drawback I find is the occassional spit back, so I would reccomend the use of safety glasses. I am going to fit a 3-9x32 scope, I only use it at 25 yards at the moment, I have been told it will recycle any ammo but I have only used Remmington thunderbolt, which I dont reccomend..( but it is cheap) good fun..
