I've just got back into shotgunning after a long layoff. At one time I used to load for my 9mm Browning Parabellum auto loading pistol, my .243 Parker Hale Safari rifle, and my shotguns, one of which was a damascus barrelled Hollis 12 bore.
Because of the age of this gun I only used it for with black powder (despite it being nitro proofed). All the cartridges were built using modern components such as plastic cases allied with fibre and card wads and modern primers. Here's my problem. Over time my reloading data has flown south for the winter. I can't find my notebook anywhere, and I'm blaming the house moving gremlins for this. Can anyone supply reloading data for a breech loading 12 bore, using modern components with FFFG black powder? It's a long and expensive process, at today's prices, to work up a load and submit to the proof house every time a change is made. Alternatively, if anyone could recommend a publication listing such loads, I would be grateful. Thanks |
